Fortress Cliff, Prairie Dog Fork of the Red River, Palo Duro Canyon State Park
So much of the book is about visiting the same places at different seasons over many years. This image is from the late 1980's and no longer exists. The city of Canyon sends treated water into the East Fork of the Prairie Dog River which has led to an explosion of trees along the flats that completely obscures the view of this bluff. |
