John Langmore (b. 1962) is a
Texas-based photographer who has been published and exhibited widely.
These photographs are from his recent book Open Range: America's Big-Outfit Cowboy
(Twin Palms Publishers, 2018), which was the result of photographing
for six years on 14 of the country's largest ranches, all running full
crews of horseback cowboys. His father, Bank Langmore, who showed work
at Afterimage Gallery when it first opened in 1971, is also a
well-known cowboy photographer. John continues with various projects
