Sand Bar, Where the Prairie Dog Town Fork becomes the Red River, North of Quanah
| North of Quanah the Prairie Dog Town Fork of the Red River meets the Oklahoma border and officially becomes the Red River. The area is sandy and mostly treeless and best of all, empty of people. I walked up and down the shallow Red River, sunrise and sunset and found this image of a water rippled sand bar where the river pushes hard against the Texas side. |
